All over the world, cybersecurity has emerged as an essential concept to idealize a safer technological ecosystem. Think about the Brazilian General Data Protection Law, in force since 2020, or the General Data Protection Regulation, implemented in 2018 in the European Union, for example. Since 2017, however, China has had the CSL in place, which sets out principles on the country’s cyber governance.

In China, more than 3,000 companies now offer cybersecurity services and solutions, moving a $26 billion industry. The largest companies in the area also generate annual revenues in the number of billions of dollars, as is the case of Venustech, the symbol company of the so-called “cyber boom” in China.
For its part, the CSL represents a major step forward in bringing China closer to potential trading partners in the rest of the world, benefits the growing e-commerce industry, sets guidelines for the use of Internet of Things technologies, every time more present in homes and industry, among other factors.
