One of the numerous examples of how innovation will be present during the event is the creation of a high-speed driverless railway, which crosses the cities of Beijing and Zhangjiakou to manage transport between the clusters.
It is also planned for this to be the greenest Olympic Games in history!
The venues hosting the event are expected to consume 400 million kilowatt hours of green energy, which will reduce coal combustion by 128,000 tonnes plus carbon dioxide emissions by 320,000 tonnes!
