Thanks to innovation and technology, China’s high flights are no longer metaphorical but real. Today, the country is one of the global leaders in the drone industry. It has a consolidated hub in the manufacture of these aircraft, which can be found in various sectors of the economy, such as entertainment, delivery, and agriculture. Alone, it represents 40% of this global market.

In China, the manufacture of drones has received vast subsidies from the central government since 2014. In 2013, there were only 130 aircraft manufacturers across the country, whereas today there are around 1,200, a growth of 8x which, in large part, is due to the incentive policies.
All of this is done, of course, with an eye on the results that can be delivered — after all, they are investments, not mere purposeless expenditures. In 2014, the sale of drones was estimated at 20 thousand units. In 2020, there was an explosion, when 290,000 were sold.
