The logistical crisis has been interfering with the worldwide purchase and delivery schedules. According to Bloomberg, 77% of the world’s ports have abnormally long response times. Dozens of ships remain, therefore, anchored in US and Chinese ports, waiting for space to dock.
In this sense, ocean freight costs reached record highs! As a result, China is facing another big problem. Due to the decrease of products for export coming from North America and Europe, China – which holds a monopoly of world production of containers, being responsible for 96% of world production – finds itself with an accumulation of empty containers.
